Rubber sheets are versatile, pliable materials made from natural or synthetic rubber and used across various industries for sealing, insulation, and shock absorption
This material provides excellent flexibility across a broad temperature range (-60°C up to +200°C), as it is a synthetic elastomer manufactured from a perfect combination of silicon, carbon, hydrogen, and oxygen. This rubber offers high release properties and performs exceptionally well when exposed to ozone, weathering, and ultraviolet light. It has a good compression set, is highly resistant to moisture and is an excellent electrical insulator.
It is often manufactured into Silicone Rubber Gaskets for use in high temperature environments or is used to create Silicone Rubber Washers and Quad seals for electrical enclosures. The elastomer can also be used as a liner in prosthetics and is a popular option in the food, drink, and pharmaceutical industries due to its inertness and conformance with FDA food contact regulations. The elastomer is also biocompatible, but is not suitable for use with acids, ketones or petrochemicals and offers poor resistance to abrasion and tear.
Silicone Rubber is also used to manufacture Silicone Rubber ‘O’rings, and Silicone Rubber Sheets etc.
Neoprene rubber sheets are durable, versatile materials known for excellent resistance to oil, water, abrasion, and weathering, making them ideal for various industrial and DIY applications like gaskets, seals, and insulation. They are widely available in different thicknesses and sizes both online and from local suppliers
Key Properties & Uses
Resistance: Neoprene resists degradation more than natural rubber, with good resistance to moderate chemicals, acids, fats, greases, oils, ozone, and sunlight. It also resists burning better than other hydrocarbon-based rubbers.
Durability & Flexibility: The material maintains flexibility over a wide temperature range (typically -25°C to +125°C) and offers excellent strength and resilience.
Insulation: It is an effective material for thermal and electrical insulation, as well as sound and vibration absorption.
Applications:
Gaskets and Seals: Used widely in plumbing, automotive, and industrial hydraulic systems due to its ability to form tight, resilient seals.
Pads and Liners: The material's shock absorption makes it useful for protective padding, flooring, and machinery mounts to reduce vibration and noise.
Insulation and Weather Stripping: Its resistance to temperature and weather makes it a good choice for insulating pipes, HVAC systems, and weather stripping for fire doors.
DIY Projects: It is easy to cut with sharp scissors or a utility knife, making it suitable for a variety of crafts and custom projects
Cork sheets are a versatile, eco-friendly material known for their use in applications ranging from DIY crafts and home decor to industrial gaskets and soundproofing. They are available in various thicknesses, sizes, and grades to suit different needs.
